What was the challenge?

During my time as a designer at Creditas, I faced two challenges. The first was to build and develop a B2C marketplace for buying and selling used cars, generating several iterations in the product and user flows by incorporating new features to maximize the user's lifecycle with Creditas.

The second goal was to improve friction points in user flows for those seeking quick cash using their car as collateral without losing ownership or usage.

In both challenges, I adhered to user-centered design (UCD) principles, making data-driven decisions based on metrics and user feedback.

What was the role in this project?

As a designer, my goal was to work closely with stakeholders (business), product owners, developers and other design areas to leverage data and analytics through strategies and planning to identify areas for improvement and address them.


My role involved participating in all stages of the process, from generating hypotheses to achieve the company's quarterly objectives to implementing solutions and subsequently analyzing them. This approach ensured the ability to iterate on the project to consistently achieve the best results.

What did we do?

For the vehicle buy-sell project, we first implemented a simpler lead generation flow from the product page, later adding new features like scheduling a visit (physical or virtual) for vehicle inspection and purchase, offering warranty options, periodic maintenance services, and 3D views.

We also enhanced the catalog with intelligent search, new filters based on user search data, and better positioning of attractive cars through special offers and discounts. We integrated the Creditas Auto vertical into the Creditas App ecosystem, generating more leads from existing customers.

For the car loan project, we improved the loan application flow with clearer and more concise information at every stage, streamlining processes to reduce the burden on customer service and sales teams, ultimately leading to more qualified leads.

In this project, we worked closely with the research and content departments to ensure that visual improvements and user flows were closely aligned with the product's tone and company communication.
