What was the challenge?
We had to develop a service that entailed a multi-format solution (app) for all devices, reflecting all consumption, expenditure, and efficiency data of each house. This aimed to empower users to take more control and better manage their home energy.
Additionally, we faced a significant challenge in simplifying the complexities of the energy and electricity sector. Our goal was to ensure that information regarding bills and services was clear and understandable for all users. Finally, we needed to continue generating leads and attracting new clients while implementing these solutions.
What was the role in this project?
Initially, I started as a support and assistance to the design lead, collaborating closely on the development of designs. After a few months and once the app was published, I transitioned to become the design lead myself. In this role, I was responsible for continuing the iterative process and further developing the project.
What did we do?
We studied user needs based on both qualitative and quantitative data to generate the structures of the sections/elements that would form the solution focused on the app, in conjunction with engineering and development constraints.
We created a design system to streamline collaboration with the development team, making our workflow more agile and straightforward. It was a challenging journey but immensely satisfying to see it implemented. Upon publishing the app, it underwent gradual evolution, with efforts aimed at enhancing user interaction. For instance, we introduced a referral program and a home description process to provide personalized recommendations.
Furthermore, we integrated tools on the website to attract more clients and showcase the benefits they could attain with Lucera, such as the efficiency calculator.
